WHY CHOOSE THE FESTIVAL OF SPEED AT GOODWOOD?

The Festival of Speed celebrates motorsport in all its forms at the largest motoring garden party in the world. 

Set in the Goodwood estate the Festival is a must for the motor enthusiast.   The celebrated hill-climb sees vehicles of all ages and makes battle it out for supremacy.  Jagaur, Bugatti and McLaren fighting it out to be the Sunday Shootout winner. 

In the F1 Paddock you’ll get up close to F1 cars from the top teams, whilst the Supercar Paddock holds the most advanced supercars from around the world. 

Events and displays include freestyle motocross, a rally stage and aviation displays.

Woodfire Camping:

  • Woodfire Camping and Glamping is in a very special spot, with stunning views of the South Downs and surrounding countryside.
  • The campsite accommodation has hot showers, campfires and wood-fired cooking, with pre-erected tents available for hire. The track leading directly off the campsite leads up on to the 90-mile-long South Downs Way, with more fantastic views in all directions, some as far as the sea.
  • There are four great local pubs within walking distance, with good food and beer gardens, and ancient market towns, castles, stately homes and sandy beaches all just a short drive away.
  • The Goodwood Estate is about 10 miles from the camp site.

Mill Farm Lodges Glamping, Lurgashall:

  • Sleep under the stars in these canvas lodges with all the luxuries.
  • Each lodge can sleep up to 6, with all the bedding provided.
  • There’s a large wood burner with oven and hob, arrival meal and departure service, plus pizza night and various hampers.
  • Goodwood  is about 15 miles from the camp site.
  • And for those really travelling in style there’s the helicopter transfer service, not to be missed!

    Canvas and Stars Glamping at Ridlington Farm:

      HOW TO GET THERE
      Goodwood Estate, Chichester, West Sussex, PO18 0PX.

      From London and the M25.  Follow the A3 (Junction 10 on the M25) south towards Guildford. About 3 miles past Guildford, at the Milford turning, take the A283 to Petworth, then the A285 to Chichester for about 6 miles.

       

      From the East: follow the  A27 towards Chichester. At the Tangmere roundabout before Chichester, go straight over. Take the exit signposted Guildford/Petworth. Go right at the first roundabout, and straight over the second roundabout.

      Follow the road until you reach the second left, signposted Lavant. Turn left here and follow the road down to the second cross roads. Turn right, following the brown signpost for the Goodwood Hotel. Continue on this road and you will reach the entrance to Goodwood House, just passed the Goodwood Hotel on your left.

       

      From the West: follow the A27 to Chichester. At Chichester, stay on the A27 bypass/ring road. After the only set of traffic lights, take the second exit at the next roundabout signposted Goodwood. At the next roundabout take the second exit.

      200 yards after the Goodwood Motor Circuit & Aerodrome entrance, straight over at the roundabout, (brown signs for Goodwood House). Entrance to House is on the right.

       

      By train the nearest station is Chichester, with a regular service from London Victoria, plus a coastal service from Brighton and Portsmouth. Buses or taxis are available at Chichester Station.

      WHERE TO PARK

      Parking at the Festival is free and car parks open from 06:30hrs each day.
